Freelancer (m/f/d) – Testing & Certification in Aircraft Seat Development - LU-283478069

For our client, a leading manufacturer in the field of aircraft seat development, we are looking for an experienced freelancer with proven expertise in test planning, composite compliance, and certification documentation in accordance with international aviation regulations.

Start: End of June 2025

Duration: Until end of June 2026 (option to extend)

Location: Friedrichshafen / remote work possible upon agreement

Workload: Full-time or part-time

Key Responsibilities:

- Development and planning of test strategies for structural and material testing within aircraft seat development

- Preparation of test plans, methodologies, and load scenarios in accordance with CS-25 and DO-160G

- Coordination and supervision of testing activities with internal teams and external laboratories

- Interpretation and evaluation of test results with respect to structural integrity, regulatory requirements, and product readiness

- Execution of composite compliance verifications, including assessment of material properties, manufacturing processes, and structural performance of composite seat components

- Preparation of technical reports, conformity statements, and documentation within the framework of DOA processes

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience in test planning and execution in aircraft seat development

- Solid expertise in composite material testing and aerospace certification

- Practical knowledge of EASA CS-25 and DO-160G, ideally also FAA regulations

- Technical background in structural mechanics, material behavior, and aviation certification procedures

- Experience with CS 25.561 and CS 25.
